Where Winds Meet Hidden Mountain Chapter 2 is About ‘Connection’

Where Winds Meet developers revealed at Gamescom 2026 that the keyword for Hidden Mountain Chapter 2 is ‘connection’.

At Gamescom 2026, I had the opportunity to sit down with the developers of Where Winds Meet and discuss their upcoming expansion, Hidden Mountain Chapter 2. The new content will focus on bringing the ancient Mohist martial arts style to the game, a renowned philosophy in ancient China. This will be combined with a mechanical methodology to introduce something very different from previous expansions.

Where Winds Meet Hidden Chapter 2 is As Big as Kaifeng

The inspiration for Hidden Mountain Chapter 2 is the Mohist philosophy, which comes from a famous philosopher renowned for his writings that emphasize the idea that “technology should be in service of the people”.

The Hidden Mountain Chapter 2 expansion comes as a comprehensive upgrade for the game as it comes with new exploration and combat experiences. In terms of exploration, the game was originally two-dimensional, but it has now been upgraded to three dimensions, allowing for greater depth and letting players reach the mountains, the sky, and the underground as well.

I even tried asking how many hours of content players can expect from Hidden Mountain Chapter 2, but didn’t get an exact answer. However, in terms of scale, it is roughly equivalent to the Kaifeng area, and the content is on the same lines as well.
