Spider-Man 2 Has Sold Over 2.5 Million Copies in 24 Hours

It’s safe to say that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a major success for Insomniac Games, Sony, and the PlayStation 5. Sony has announced that Spider-Man 2 sold more than 2.5 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release.

The 2.5 million copies make it the “fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game in PlayStation history.”

“Great news, Spidey fans — Marvel’s #SpiderMan2PS5 has sold more than 2.5 million copies in the first 24 hours. Thanks for making this a high-flying launch!” the official PlayStation account posted on Twitter.

Spider-Man 2 continues the story of Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they face off with new villains after the events of the first two games. The new game also features the debut of Venom in the series, who may also get his own spinoff game down the line.

Spider-Man 2 is available now exclusively for PlayStation 5. If you are on PC and want your Spider-Man fix, you can play the first Marvel’s Spider-Man or the Miles Morales spinoff game.
