Sony PlayStation Hiring Director to Adopt ‘Intelligent Pricing’

A new job listing reveals that Sony is hiring a senior director to help adopt ‘Intelligent Pricing’ for the PlayStation Store.

Earlier this year, players saw the inclusion of dynamic pricing for both XBOX Game Pass and PlayStation Store games. For the PlayStation Store, players observed that some were being charged nearly twice as much as the others. Now, it seems that the company is already working on the next thing, ‘Intelligent Pricing’.

Sony’s Digital Monetization Director Will Work Towards the ‘Adoption and Evolution of Intelligent Pricing’ on the PlayStation Store

Spotted by The Game Post, a new Sony job listing has surfaced online for a Senior Director for Digital Games Monetization at the PlayStation Store. The main goal of the senior director would be to lead the global digital monetization organization for the PlayStation Store, including building the strategy, model, and organizational capability to “maximize the commercial performance of publisher content across the platform.”

In the same category, the listing says one key accountability for this senior director is “driving the adoption and evolution of Intelligent Pricing, expanding the impact of the Targeted Offers program, and accelerating the development of future monetization capabilities across the Store.” The director has to work on the PlayStation Store, direct-to-consumer channels, and matrix teams to bring innovative approaches to pricing promotions, experimentation, and commercial optimization.
