Sonic X Shadow Generations’ release date has been set for this October, according to a new leak.
According to a new report by Dealabs, SEGA has set October 25, 2024, as the release date for Sonic X Shadow Generations. The developers have reportedly already started preparing the game’s page for the Nintendo eShop and Epic Games Store, and an announcement is expected within the next 10 days. This is why it is speculated that the release date announcement could arrive tonight at Summer Game Fest 2024.
According to the rumors, SEGA will seemingly set $49.99 for the physical edition of Sonic X Shadow Generations.
Before Billbil-kun, another reputable leaker also spoke about the release date for the game. Midori stated through a post on X (formerly Twitter) on June 2, that SEGA was “in the process of submitting the Nintendo Switch version of Sonic X Shadows Generation. Midori added that SEGA has already finished working on the release date announcement posts on social media and web updates for the SEGA website and Sonic websites.
A report by My Nintendo News has also provided leaked gameplay screenshots and box art images for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Moreover, the leak also informs us of the preorder bonuses for Sonic X Shadow Generations, including Gerald Robotnik’s Journal, which details Shadow’s creation and a Sonic Adventure Legacy Skin.
More about the game, Sonic X Shadows Generation has you playing as Shadow the Hedgehog. The game includes a brand-new story campaign with unique abilities and powers. Players must fight against Shadow’s old nemesis, Black Doom, by journeying into the character’s past, fighting with familiar enemies, and unlocking new powers to save the world. The game also includes a complete remaster of the 2011 game Sonic Generations. Featuring newly remastered versions of the game’s classic 2D and 3D stages, with enhanced visuals and bonus content.
