Sonic the Hedgehog Confirms Upcoming Fortnite Crossover

Sonic the Hedgehog acknowledges upcoming Fortnite crossover.

The acknowledgment comes from Twitter, where the official Sonic the Hedgehog page shared the new Fortnite area based on the iconic Green Hill Zone. You then see a banana man running through the loop-de-loop before the Blue Blur spin-dashes through the area, collecting a ring. We then get the title screen for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override.

Recent leaks have revealed that the upcoming chapter will be headlined by Gaming Legends, featuring not only Sonic but also Mega Man and Pac-Man. The worlds of Tetris, Kingdom Hearts, and Persona are also likely to be featured. The season is expected to begin in mid-August and will be the final full-length chapter of the season. Once it’s concluded, a mini season will follow, culminating in a live event to officially close out the chapter.

Sonic is currently celebrating his 35th Anniversary. In doing so, he has entered the Indie world with the game Sonic Pico Park. He also continues to cross over with many well-known properties in the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds title. The head of Sonic Team recently confirmed how they approach bringing Sonic to a new gaming genre.
