Silent Hill: Townfall Has 5 Different Endings, Including 2 Secret Ones

It’s been revealed that Silent Hill: Townfall will be sticking to the franchise tradition of having numerous endings for fans to uncover, with five being on the cards this time around.

However, of those five, two are secret endings, and simple choices dictate none of them. Instead, the ending you receive will take into account your entire playthrough and how you engage with the various in-game systems and mechanics.

How You’ll Achieve Each Ending For Silent Hill: Townfall

Speaking with One More Game, series producer Motoi Okamoto and director Jon McKellan explained the details surrounding Silent Hill: Townfall’s various endings, as well as how you’ll achieve them.

Of course, there are five total endings for fans to uncover, with three of them being the main endings for the game. These can be achieved in your first playthrough of the game, meaning you won’t need to get one ending to unlock the others.

How you achieve these endings isn’t set in stone, though. Similar to titles in the series’ past, the choices you make throughout the game will influence the outcome you receive. McKellen had this to say on the matter:

The choices you make as a player throughout will determine the ending, and it should feel that the ending is very appropriate to the experience you had. The goal is for the player to feel like it’s the natural conclusion to the story in terms of the way they played.

The endings rely on a variety of factors, including how aggressive you are, how investigative you are, and so on. According to McKellen, there are “lots of different attributes that move the needle,” so by the end of the game, it should feel like you got the natural conclusion to your playthrough.

As for the secret endings, they’ll require you to play New Game+, though not much more was shared other than that—it wouldn’t be a secret otherwise!

Once credits roll, the team hopes that a conversation will be sparked around the story and what you’d have done in the same situation. For a tease of what that might entail, check out the trailer below:
