Silent Hill series producer has spoken about looking into the second and third wave of games for the series.
The Silent Hill series has delivered three impressive games over the past three years. The most recent installment is Silent Hill Townfall, released this year, while last year saw the launch of Silent Hill f. The first wave began with the release of the Silent Hill 2 remake in 2024. It appears that Konami isn’t finished with the franchise yet, as there are plans for more games in development.
Silent Hill Producer Talks About Exploring Second and Third Wave of Games
In a recent interview with Famitsu (via Game Observer), Motoi Okamoto, the producer of the Silent Hill series, shared insights about future games for the franchise. Okamoto expressed relief that all three titles from the “first wave” were successfully released and received high praise. However, he emphasized that the team is not stopping at just these initial titles; they are looking to get more out of the series.
“We need to consider the second and third waves,” Okamoto adds, noting that his current focus has shifted to thinking about “Silent Hill’s future.” While he hasn’t revealed any specifics, the producer confirmed the team is “looking at a number of projects.” Hopefully, we’ll receive announcements about them soon.

The latest installment from the series, Silent Hill: Townfall, was released just last month, focusing on Simon Ordell as he goes back to the island of St. Amelia to ‘put things right’. It is a first-person, psychological horror title that sits at a Metascore of 80.
