Bloober Team is still hard at work on the development of the Silent Hill 2 remake, and is endeavouring to create a product that ‘attains the highest quality’, according to the most recent update. In a message posted to Twitter, Bloober reiterated that ‘production is progressing smoothly and in accordance with our schedule’, and asked for patience on the topic.

It’s on the way, that’s for sure. It has been a wild year or two for horror remakes, with the likes of Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 re-releasing to massively positive receptions. There’s plenty coming in the Silent Hill 2 remake for fans to be excited about, especially considering this is one of the best horror titles of all time and helped spearhead the modern face of the niche we enjoy today.
In recent reports, it was suggested that we’ll be getting an origin story for ‘Pyramid Head’, which is something else that has fans on the edge of their seats.
In a recent Twitter post, Bloober Team asked for patience, stating, ‘Once Konami, as the game’s publisher, shares more information, we are confident that the wait will be worthwhile.’ It’s up to Konami to share the juicy news, but Bloober’s update on the state of play for the game’s development is still very much appreciated.
At present, there’s no release date for the Silent Hill 2 remake, but rumours suggest it’ll land in Q1 2024.
