SAW: Genesis has delayed its Early Access launch to Q1 2027 as the team uses player feedback to improve performance and the multiplayer horror game. The game’s official social media channels made the reveal.
The developers decided they want more time to polish the title because they know the property means a lot to many fans.
SAW: Genesis Delayed to Meet Franchise Expectations
The title is a 3-on-one horror game. One player controls the judge while the others control the accused as they search for ways to complete challenges, collect keys, and escape before time runs out. The game was originally slated for Early Access in the final quarter of this year.
In a social media statement, the development team said they received extensive feedback in recent months and tested the game under various conditions. As a result, they are excited to deliver a game they believe meets their fan base’s expectations.

of its legacy, and for fans who have followed this franchise for decades. In fact, our ambition is for SAW: Genesis to become part of that legacy. This is why we take the quality of this game very seriously, and why we want to give it the time it needs ..Today we’ve made the decision to move the SAW: Genesis Early Access release to Q1 2027. We know how much this franchise means to its fans, and we want to deliver a game that not only lives up to the SAW name, but also a great multiplayer horror game in its own right.
In recent months, we have gathered a great deal of feedback, and we’ve had the opportunity to test the game under a variety of conditions. We received a lot of positive and enthusiastic comments, as well as specific notes that would help improve elements of the game and their performance.
