The latest trailer of Rideshare Stimulator contains a dig at Randy Pitchford, the Gearbox CEO.
The recent dig aimed at the Gearbox boss isn’t without context; it stems from an earlier provocation. For those unfamiliar, Borderlands 4 included a location named “Embracer’s Bluff,” which referenced Embracer. This latest jab comes as a response from Saber to that original reference made in their recent game.
Saber CEO Says Randy Pitchford Would Be A Birthday Party Magician Without Embracer
Players only need to watch the latest Rideshare Simulator announcement trailer to catch the jab at Randy Pitchford from Saber. In the latter half of the video, the narrator mentions that players should not take passengers seriously, adding, “When I think I’ve met the randiest of passengers, someone even stranger gets in.” Toward the end of the trailer, an SUV appears with a Texas license plate that features the letters ‘USB DRV’ and a gear symbol in the center.
If ‘Randiest’ wasn’t enough, the USB DRV license plate is a direct reference to the 2018 situation where Randy Pitchford had forgotten a USB Drive at the Medieval Times Restaurant, which contained an explicit video. Stephen Totilo from GameFile was also able to get a confirmation from Saber CEO Matt Karch on the situation. Karch stated, “The dig is because Randy took shots at Embracer in Borderlands 4. Without Embracer, Randy is performing magic tricks at birthday parties for a living.”
