RuneScape: Dragonwilds Roadmap & All Future Content—New region, skills, quests, modes & more

Jagex revealed an extensive roadmap for RuneScape: Dragonwilds, leading up to the game’s official release. Let’s take a look at what new content fans can expect, including a new region, skills, quests, and modes.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds boldly abandons the traditional MMORPG system and follows an elite group of explorers as they set sail to find the lost continent of Ashenfall. However, they didn’t account for dragons, so their ship was destroyed, leaving them to fend for themselves in the dangerous new land.

In the four-player survival crafting game, it’s up to players to discover a way to signal someone to rescue them. In RuneScape: Dragonwilds, players use magic, tools, and weapons to take down creatures and craft buildings. The early access game already has a wealth of content, but Jagex has ambitious plans for the future.

One of the most exciting new additions is a new Region called Fellhollow, ruled by a Dragon Overlord named The Soul Eater Imaru. Jagex described the region as an area suspended between life and death, and an iconic RuneScape character, Death, will give players missions and guide them in the new location.

In an interview with Jake Lucky, Jagex senior community manager Mod Doom revealed the content plan.

“I’m hoping that we can deliver content updates on a regular basis,” Mod Doom said. “Our plan is to try and release something every three to four months to get something in front of players and get their feedback on it. to build on it, iterate, and then do a full launch in winter 2026.”

Fans still have a long wait until the official release, but the additional content should help hold them over until the final product.

Following this schedule, the first significant update for RuneScape: Dragonwilds should go live in either July or August.
