The Early Access release date for RuneScape: Dragonwilds has officially been announced, and it’ll be available starting…right now.
In a special deep dive live stream on Tuesday afternoon, developer Jagex revealed that the survival game is launching in early access as of today, April 15. It had been previously announced that the game would have a Spring 2025 Early Access release, but now the game is out in the wild.
The game costs $29.99/€29.99 in the United States and Europe, and £24.99 in the United Kingdom. As far as a 1.0 launch goes, Jagex is hoping for a 2026 full release, but says it will be released “when it’s ready” and couldn’t commit to a specific date just yet.
In addition to the shadow dropped game, the studio revealed the roadmap for future updates that the developers are actively working on. There’s no timetable for these updates, but it gives players an idea as to what is being done.

What is RuneScape: Dragonwilds?
Built in Unreal Engine 5, RuneScape: Dragonwilds takes place on the new continent of Ashenfall where up to four players work together to build camps, improve skills, and survive.
“Journey through the vast, vibrant regions of Ashenfall and unveil the ruins of forgotten civilisations to discover why wild, transformative magic spills from its fractured lands,” the game’s description reads. “Explode ore veins with a snap of your fingers. Conjure a spectral axe to chop down a line of trees in an instant. The Anima-rich landscape of Ashenfall offers you a power unlike any other.”
RuneScape: Dragonwilds is available exclusively on PC.
