New video game sales data has been revealed, and we have been informed that Resident Evil Requiem has debuted as the best-selling game of 2026, outperforming the likes of Resident Evil Village. The latest chart shows it was the clear sales winner in February 2026.
Resident Evil Requiem was February 2026’s Best-Selling Game
Capcom has hit it out of the park with Resident Evil Requiem, with the title topping sales charts for all platforms. Mat Piscatella of Circana reveals that the game was number 1 in the United States, followed by NBA 2K26, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Minecraft, and Helldivers 2. The title ranked first on Xbox, PlayStation, and aggregated PC storefronts. The only platform that it didn’t top was Nintendo, which saw the release of Mario Tennis Fever, taking the cake.
The latest sales numbers for Resident Evil Requiem are unknown, but as of this week, the title has already sold over 6 million copies, making it the fastest-selling game in the franchise. It also outperformed Resident Evil Village, with Requiem’s launch week sales 60% higher and unit sales 40% higher than the previous game. There were several new video games among the month’s best sellers, including Mario Tennis Fever, God of War: Sons of Sparta, My Hero Academia: All’s Justice, and Resident Evil Generation Pack.
