Resident Evil Movie Gets New Trailer

A brand-new trailer has been released for the Resident Evil movie by Zach Cregger, providing some more story insights.

This is the second trailer that players have received for the upcoming movie adaptation of Capcom’s popular video game franchise. The first one was released in April, and it went all in on gore, with zombies literally dropping off from rooftops as body bombs. The latest one is a bit more focused on the narrative.

Resident Evil Movie’s Trailer Focuses a Bit More on the Story

The trailer for the new Resident Evil movie starts with Austin Abrams, who portrays a character named Bryan, making a medical delivery at a hospital. He then agrees to take on an additional delivery outside his usual area after being offered double the pay, and the new location is based in the infamous Raccoon City. However, his journey takes a dramatic turn when he suddenly crashes into a woman who appears in his path.

Believing the woman has died, he walks to a nearby house to seek help. However, upon entering, he realizes the home is deserted, with signs of a struggle evident in several rooms. Austin Abrams finds a weapon to defend himself, and while searching for bullets, he spots the woman he crashed into running frantically towards the house.

The scene descends into chaos as a phone rings in the background while Abrams struggles to load the gun with bullets. We also see a brief montage of clips from the previous trailer, with a baby zombie being teased just before the trailer ends.
