GamesIndustry.biz, which is also owned by Reedpop, has reported that the company is investigating the potential sales of its Gamer Network.
The Gamer Network includes GamesIndustry.biz, Eurogamer, Outside Xbox, Rockpapershotgun, VG247, Cosplay Central, and Dicebreaker.
According to the report, the potential sale does not include the UK-based events EGX or MCM, or the digital brand Popverse.
In a statement, the company said, “ReedPop, part of RX, has reviewed its UK business and decided to investigate the potential sale of its Gamer Network and associated editorial Digital properties. We believe that new ownership offers the best conditions for the growth of the business.”
Reedpop acquired the Gamer Network in 2018.
Reedpop also has several partner websites including Nintendo Life, Push Square, Pure Xbox, Road to VR, Time Extension, and VGC.
It’s unclear how much Reedpop wants for its Gamer Network and who could be a potential buyer for the websites.
