Rainbow Six Siege Operation System Override Reveal Coming This Sunday

On Sunday, the BLAST R6 Salt Lake City Major will wrap up, putting an end to ten days of intense competition, and the winner will be crowned, securing a $200,000 grand prize. That day is important for another reason, as Ubisoft has confirmed that, on May 17, the next major update, dubbed ‘Operation System Override’, will be revealed.

We know a few bits and pieces about Operation System Override, the next major update and new season to hit Rainbow Six Siege. Find out everything you need to know below.

Where to Watch The Operation System Override Reveal

Ubisoft has lined up a special stream to celebrate the reveal of Operation System Override, the next major Rainbow Six Siege season. It’s set to be uncovered on May 17, which is this coming Sunday, and it aligns with the end of the BLAST R6 Salt Lake City Major.

Here’s the reveal schedule:

  • MT: 15:30
  • CST: 15:30
  • ET: 17:30
  • BST: 22:30
  • CEST: 23:30
  • AST: 00:30 (May 18)
  • JST: 06:30 (May 18)
  • AEST: 07:30 (May 18)

What We Know About Operation System Override

Operation System Override, otherwise known as Year 11 Season 2, will introduce a new map called Calypso Casino, a huge rework for Dokkaebi, and a brand-new weapon. Additionally, players with a more competitive streak in them will be invited to lean on Ranked 3.0, which comes hand-in-hand with stacks of operator balancing adjustments and tweaks.

It’s expected that players will be able to get their hands on the update content as early as May 18, the day after the announcement is set to take place, by accessing the Rainbow Six Siege test servers.

As for when Operation System Override will be released, nobody knows. It’s not clear just yet, but it should arrive in the first couple of days of June 2026.
