Polaroid and Pokémon Join Forces for Special Collection

Polaroid, the instant photography brand, and Pokémon, one of the most beloved entertainment properties in the world, have teamed up on a limited-edition collection of cameras, film, and accessories.

The products have been designed to bring Pokémon’s playful energy to Polaroid’s iconic cameras, while encouraging both younger and older fans of Pokémon to embrace the tactile, analog joy of shooting with Polaroid.

Beloved Pokémon, Pikachu, Sylveon and the Poké Ball feature in Polaroid x Pokémon Collection

In its latest collaboration, Pokémon fans will be able to snap photos of their friends with special edition Polaroid cameras, as well as custom picture frames and accessories.

The partnership seems natural enough, with the Pokémon franchise famously featuring the 1999 Nintendo 64 game Pokémon Snap, where players tried to ‘Catch ‘Em All’ in the frame of a photo.

The sequel, ‘New Pokémon Snap’ was released in 2021 for the Nintendo Switch as part of the Pokémon 25-year anniversary celebration.

The new Polaroid x Pokémon Special Edition range includes:

“Pokémon has always been about discovery, connection, and exploration,” said Mathieu Galante, Sr. Director, Licensing, The Pokémon Company International. “Working with Polaroid feels like a natural extension of these values: encouraging fans to capture moments that matter most to them in their own way and turn their favourite memories into tangible keepsakes.”

The Polaroid x Pokémon collection will launch globally in limited quantities on polaroid.com, with pre-orders opening August 25, 2026, on Pokémon Center, the premier online destination for official Pokémon merchandise, in the U.S., U.K., and Canada, and polaroid.com, followed by full release on October 5, 2026.
