A new report reveals that Netflix is developing a live-action adaptation of the Persona franchise as a series.
Persona is a widely popular gaming franchise with millions of fans, and expanding into other media is sure to be beneficial. This move will attract more attention to the series, especially since the next installment, Persona 6, was announced during the latest Xbox Games Showcase earlier this month.
Persona Netflix Adaptation is Being Written by VisionQuest’s Writer
A Variety report reveals that Netflix is developing a live-action Persona series. It seems that the adaptation is being written and showrun by Christopher Monfette, who has written shows like 12 Monkeys, Star Trek: Picard, Vision Quest, and more. The show also has Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Robert Atwood from 21 Laps, along with Michael Lawrence Goldberg and Timothy I. Stevenson from Story Kitchen attached.

It’s a good partnership; Netflix already has a history of making gaming adaptations like The Witcher, Arcane, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and more. 21 Laps helped produce the platform’s highly popular series, Stranger Things. Story Kitchen also comes with its own gaming adaptation expertise, having worked on projects like Sonic the Hedgehog and upcoming installments such as the live-action adaptations of Tomb Raider and Life is Strange.
