Peak Hits 20 Million Players
Speaking with Tucker Hazell of Dev Dive for a 1st Anniversary interview, developer Aggro Crab revealed that Peak has surpassed 20 million players since its release.
“I do think we should be approaching this as if Peak was our lightning-in-a-bottle moment as far as numbers go,” Aggro Crab co-founder Caelan Pollock said. “We’re trying not to let it raise the bar way too much as far as the marketability and the sellability of what we put out there. I would really not want to be sacrificing what we want to do creatively because we want every game from now on to potentially be that 20 million player hit [like Peak].”

In addition to Peak’s performance, Aggro Crab and Hazell talk about how much the game has changed over the year, the reception of the “daily map” structure, the BBNO$ in-game concert, and much more.
