Palworld Online Announced For 2026 Release

The Palworld universe is about to get bigger, as Garena has revealed it’s developing and publishing a brand-new Palworld game completely separate from the traditional Palworld we’ve come to know over the last two to three years.

Palworld Online is an MMO being developed exclusively for mobile devices.

Garena revealed it to the world on August 3, and it’s a new, official game. It features a new ‘narrative setting’ and a ‘seamless, interconnected open-world’ that ties into its MMO qualities.

The first thing to note is that this is currently not scheduled to release on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo consoles. Palworld Online is being lined up for a mobile release, presumably on iOS and Android.

Garena has plenty of experience in developing mobile-only games, typically free ones as well, which makes me wonder if Palworld Online is going F2P at launch, with a large helping of microtransactions to support the game.

Key features for Palworld Online include:

    • A big open world to explore with your ‘Pals’ to uncover treasure, lore, and special challenges scattered around the land.
    • PvE and PvP as part of online play and co-op.
    • You can create a ‘shared home base’ that can be occupied by multiple players.
    • Palworld Online will be ‘streamlined’ and include a ‘touch-friendly interface with optional one-tap controls’ for smoother gaming on your phone.

Right now, Garena has said ‘Palworld Online is scheduled to be available in 2026,’ but can’t say much more than that for now.

While we wait for Palworld Online, there’s plenty to love in Palworld’s 1.0 launch.
