Onimusha: Way Of The Sword Release Date Announcement Teased Online

Capcom has teased an upcoming release date announcement for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, with a series of posts shared across the game’s official X account hinting that a full reveal could be just around the corner.

With a fresh trailer dropping back in March, all that fans are waiting for now is the release date announcement. Set in 17th-century Kyoto, the game promises intense, cinematic sword combat, and it looks like you won’t have to wait much longer to learn when you can finally get your hands on it.

Pragmata’s Diana Teases Onimusha Release Date

In a playful crossover moment, Diana—one of the central characters from Capcom’s Pragmata—appeared to “hack” the Onimusha: Way of the Sword X account. During the takeover, she shared several new in-game screenshots, highlighting the game’s eerie environments while joking about downloading a Japanese language module.

As the bit came to a close, Diana hinted at something more substantial. She revealed that she had “found something” in her files referencing a release date for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, but before she could finish downloading the necessary module to view it, her companion, Hugh, cut things short, forcing her to log off.

It proved to be a fun wrap-up to a silly takeover, but now it’s got fans on the edge of their seats, knowing that the release date announcement was so close. That being said, now that it’s been teased, it’s likely that it’ll be officially announced in the near future—maybe Diana will log back in for one final reveal?

Until then, you can scroll through the official X account and read more of Diana’s posts, or check out the Weekly Oni Memo, where more details are shared about Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
