EA isn’t planning on bringing Battlefield 6 to the Nintendo Switch 2 anytime soon.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Battlefield 6 lead Vince Zempella confirmed that the studio is only bringing the game to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Regarding the Switch 2, he said that the studio “doesn’t currently” have plans to bring it to Nintendo’s new console.
Zempella said that despite being “a huge Switch fan” himself, the company wanted to focus on the platforms where the “core Battlefield audience” is.
Battlefield 6 launches on October 10, with the standard edition retailing for $70. For those who want to play it early, there are two betas coming in August. The first starts as a closed “early access” beta on August 7 before opening up on August 9-10. The second beta then takes place August 14-17.
For those wondering, Battlefield 6 will also feature crossplay across all three platforms.
