Battlefield 6 will have nine maps available at launch for multiplayer, it has been revealed, including the fan-favorite Operation Firestorm from Battlefield 3.
Releasing October 10, the EA title is one of the most anticipated games of the year, with a first chance to play coming in a Beta beginning next week, and nine multiplayer maps will be available on launch.
In the multiplayer reveal stream, EA provided a first look at a handful of the maps, which bring urban warfare to the streets of Brooklyn and will see fierce battles take place in the deserts of Cairo, with the Pyramids of Giza in the background.
9 Multiplayer Maps, More to Come

Battlefield 6‘s maps feature a mix of close-range combat and wider, open areas where tanks and jets can be utilized to turn the tide of battle. As usual, destruction is the name of the game, with the environment changing throughout the map based on player actions.
At the time of writing, no Levolution events have been revealed, though it has previously been confirmed that they will be returning for the game.
The maps announced for launch so far are:
- Operation Firestorm
- Upper Town (Gibraltar)
- Cairo (Egypt)
- Ayni District (Tajikistan)
- Brooklyn (USA)
A host of game modes were also announced, including Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination, King of the Hill, and Escalation, a new game mode that pushes players to a “final climactic battle.”
New maps, modes, and events will be added throughout Battlefield 6’s lifespan in seasonal content drops, with more details set to be unveiled “closer to release.” Also, the return of Portal allows players to create, share, and play custom experiences.
