Nintendo Done With Regular Splatoon 3 Updates

Two years after its launch, Nintendo has announced that it is done with regular updates for Splatoon 3. The announcement came via a post on social media celebrating two “ink-credible” years.

“After 2 INK-credible years of Splatoon 3, regular updates will come to a close,” Nintendo said.

Despite regular updates ending for the game, Splatoon 2 will still have Splatoween, Frosty Fest, Spring Fest, and Summer Nights continue. In addition to that, weapon adjustments will come “as needed” for the game.

Lastly, “for the time being”, Big Run, Eggstra Work, and Monthly Challenges will continue with the game.

The regular updates ending for Splatoon 3 come at a time when Nintendo is getting close to the reveal of the successor to the Nintendo Switch. While plans for the Splatoon franchise as a whole are unknown, it could be assumed that Nintendo is working on the next installment of the franchise for its new console.
