Nintendo has announced that the next Nintendo Direct presentation will take place this week on September 12, revealing the news on the Nintendo Today app.
It’s been a big year for Nintendo, headlined by the reveal of the Switch 2, and several presentations have taken place this year, largely focusing on specific games. Now, we know when the next one is occurring.
September 12 Date For Latest Nintendo Direct

The next Nintendo Direct presentation will take place on Friday, September 12 at 6 am PT/8 am CT/9 am ET/2 pm BST/11 pm AEST.
No details have been shared on which games or franchises will be featured, though it appears the show will be focused on a variety of games, rather than one title.
Previously this year, the likes of Mario Kart: World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Kirby Air Riders have all had their own featured Nintendo Showcase.
Big platform exclusives for Nintendo still to be released this year include Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, with a release window before the end of the year, and Pokémon Legends: Z-A on October 16.
Both of those titles could theoretically get their own Nintendo Direct showcase, though Legends: Z-A would more than likely be a Pokémon Presents—and time is running out if that approach were to be taken before the release of the title.
The presentation could also include reveals for 2026, another big year for the company, particularly with the Pokémon franchise celebrating its 30th anniversary.
