Halo Studios Teases That More Will be Revealed on The Next Halo Game This Year

Halo Studios has officially teased that they will share more on the Halo franchise and its next game later this year.

Taking to the Halo Waypoint blog, Halo Studios fully acknowledged the recent rumors and speculation of when we’ll hear more about the next Halo game.

In the blog post, they said,

“Over the past few weeks, there’s been a fair amount of speculation about when and where more details might emerge about any of the multiple projects Halo Studios is actively working on. We don’t usually comment on such matters, but this time we want to enter the chat and share a little more perspective for Halo fans who might be on the fence about whether to attend this year’s event.

Last year at HaloWC, we premiered “A New Dawn” where we talked about the switch to Unreal Engine, gave you a behind the scenes look at Project Foundry, and debuted our evolution to Halo Studios as we enter a new chapter for Halo. For us, “A New Dawn” was just the beginning – at this year’s HaloWC, we look forward to continuing the conversation.

Speculation is always fun, but if you want the official scoop on what Halo Studios has been working on, you won’t want to miss this year’s Halo World Championship. We really hope you’ll join us in Seattle this October!”

343 Industries renamed itself to Halo Studios in 2024 and continues to develop the next Halo games, stating that the franchise has “multiple projects in the works”. As part of the announcement of its studio‘s name change, the development also announced that its games would be moving to Unreal Engine 5.

“If you really break Halo down, there have been two very distinct chapters. Chapter 1 – Bungie. Chapter 2 – 343 Industries,” studio head Pierre Hintze said. “Now, I think we have an audience which is hungry for more. So we’re not just going to try improve the efficiency of development, but change the recipe of how we make Halo games. So, we start a new chapter today.”

The Halo World Championship is scheduled to take place in Seattle from October 24th to 26th, 2025.
