Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is one of the many third-party games confirmed for the Switch 2, but we have yet to receive an official release date. Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition Has Been Rated M by ESRB

Spotted by MyNintendoNews, ESRB has updated the website with a Nintendo Switch 2 rating for Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition. The game has been rated M for Mature (17+) due to blood and gore, language, suggestive themes and violence. Many players are hoping that this means we will receive a release date announcement soon, and all eyes are now focused towards the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase 2025.
Bandai Namco’s Summer Showcase 2025 dates were announced today, and it is expected to be hosted on July 2. Ahead of the event, we have already received a teaser video which features the games that will be showcased. Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition was not included in this list, so there’s a chance it might not be showcased at this event. However, there’s also a possibility that Bandai Namco might unveil it as a surprise. Regardless, players will have to tune in to the Bandai Namco Summer Showcase to find out for sure.
In other news, Elden Ring’s movie director is better at the game than most players. Also, Nightreign has confirmed that a ‘duos’ mode is coming at a later date. Let us know below and join the official Insider Gaming forums discussion.
