A new report has provided some price details about XBOX’s next-gen console, with projections going up to $ 1,800.
Players already expect the next-generation consoles from PlayStation and Xbox to be powerful systems, capable of delivering performance and visual fidelity comparable to what the PC community has enjoyed for years. However, with rising memory costs, this leap in technology may come with a hefty price tag.
XBOX Next-Gen Console Reportedly Projected to Cost Between $1,200 and $1,800
A new report by Fortune provides players with the projected price information for XBOX’s next-gen console. Internal projections currently put the cost to consumers between $1,200 and $1,800, which could change only if Microsoft decides to subsidize it. Considering how the prices of current-gen consoles are still increasing, the number doesn’t feel too far-fetched.

XBOX has already announced several price hikes since the current-gen consoles were released. The XBOX Series X 1 TB with a disc drive launched at the price of $499, and today the same console costs $799.99. XBOX has said that “console storage and memory prices have increased by more than 2.5 times,” and it expects prices to rise further next year.
Additionally, the issue is not limited to XBOX; PlayStation and Nintendo have also raised their console prices. Until a solution for the memory shortage is found, this problem will persist.
