Players can now pre-register for Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, and it seems the game will release this October.
For those unaware, back in November 2025, it was announced that the Ratchet and Clank universe will be extending to mobile. The new announcement revealed Ratchet & Clank: Rangers Rumble, a fast-paced, free-to-play, multiplayer arena shooter for iOS and Android devices. Now, pre-registration and gameplay details have been revealed.
Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble Could Release This October
PlayStation has just announced that pre-registrations for the upcoming, free-to-play Ratchet and Clank mobile game are live, and players can visit the iOS or Android stores to do so. Interestingly, the App Store listing lists an expected release date for Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, indicating it could arrive by October 5, 2026. However, the developers have not provided official confirmation of this release date.
The blog post reveals that developers have been hard at work testing and refining the experience through regional soft launches in Canada, the Nordics, France, and Asia. The title is now in preparation for its global launch, and the devs at Oh Bibi, in collaboration with PlayStation Studios and Insomniac Games, have revealed some gameplay details.
Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble Gameplay Details
The narrative follows Captain Qwark’s latest revolutionary combat simulation, which is being used to find the next generation of Galactic Rangers; however, it’s not all black-and-white when Qwark is involved. The game allows players to choose from legendary heroes in the series, learn unique abilities, and wield an arsenal of explosive weapons while indulging in real-time PvP arena battles, enhanced by dynamic PvE elements.
There will be 12 heroes at launch, featuring brand new, never-before-seen characters, including legendary heroes from the past, robots, new Lombaxes, and more. Each hero has their unique playstyle, design, and exclusive cosmetics. There will be six different game modes, including fast-paced PvP battles, waves of enemies in PvE, a battle royale-inspired mode, a football-inspired mode, and more.
Pre-Registration Details
Pre-registration will occur across milestones, with each milestone unlocking new in-game rewards. Players will be able to earn Qredits, Reebos, and Raritanium, and the ultimate reward is an exclusive Clank Suit skin for Widget.
