STALZONE Just Got a Photo Mode, More Than Ten Years Later

STALZONE, previously known as STALCRAFT (and then STALCRAFT X), has been around in one manner or another since 2014. It started life as a combination of sorts between STALKER and Minecraft, offering up the former title’s gameplay loop and setting with the visual style of the latter.

More than a decade after hitting the market, STALZONE continues to evolve, and in an update released earlier today, the team at EXBO dropped a new photo mode. It’s a basic thing, but it’s a great leap forward for budding digital photographers.

How to Use STALZONE’s New Photo Mode

When you next open STALZONE, you can tap F4 (the default setting) to open the new photo mode. When it pops up, you’ll be presented with a few basic options:

  • Zoom
  • Roll
  • Grid
  • Visual Presets

There are twelve styled presets to choose from: VHS, Lo-Fi, Bodycam, Damaged Bodycam, Found Footage, Cheap Digital Camera, Disposable Film, STALRUNNER 2049, vaporwave, Noir, Sepia, CCTV.

When you activate photomode, you’ll see your HUD stripped clean, presenting you with an undisturbed window from which to capture the world around you. The team at EXBO advised that, going forward, they’ll iterate on the photo mode as feedback is received from the community.

Elsewhere in today’s STALZONE patch, the K2 and K2C1 were added to the in-game barter tree, and the Advanced Case underwent some changes.

Other minor fixes were added with this patch:

  • Added the ability to convert FAMAS G2 and Glock 18X parts.
  • Related records can once again be found in the home territories of the Northern factions.
  • Fixed incorrect sounds for bolts with particles.
  • When refreshing cards in the Personal Shop, offers with the same item will no longer appear.
