New sales data has arrived through an Alinea Analytics report, claiming that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has had more than twice the Steam sales as Shadows on launch day.
Players are already aware that Assassin’s Creed’s latest remake, Black Flag Resynced, is doing exceptionally well, with the game bringing in the highest concurrent player count in the series and surpassing 2 million copies sold on its first day. Now, we have some revenue numbers for the game’s sales on Steam.
Black Flag Resynced Has Reportedly Sold 701,000 Copies on Steam for $35 Million
The latest Steam sales data for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced comes through the latest Alinea Insight newsletter. The report reveals that the game has sold 701,000 copies on Steam alone, generating $35 million in gross revenue for the developers. The title is the next Assassin’s Creed game to be a day-and-date launch on Steam after Shadows, and it has seemingly blown away the predecessors’ Steam numbers.

Although Black Flag Resynced is priced lower than Shadows, it managed to earn 2.35 times more on its launch day than the latest mainline title in the Assassin’s Creed series. Black Flag Resynced generated $22.4 million on Steam on Day One, while Shadows reached only $9.5 million. Furthermore, Shadows did not surpass that amount in its first four days, totaling only $22.2 million, compared to Black Flag Resynced, which earned $35.1 million on Steam, a difference of 1.58 times.

What’s more, close to $1 million came through the day-one DLC for Black Flag Resynced, and the title reached a peak daily active users on Steam of 416,000 on launch day. Insider Gaming’s recent exclusive report also states, “Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is understood to be one of Ubisoft’s biggest releases in years, outpacing other big releases like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws.
