We’ve finally gotten a deeper look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s story through a new trailer. Not only does it introduce a new rival gang, but Pokémon Legends: Z-A features exciting new features like Pokémon customization options and Rogue Mega Evolution battles.
Pokémon Presents July 2025 has come and gone. The showcase was expected to feature some cool announcements. It wrapped up with a big look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A—the sequel to Arceus—and it looks great.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A Lets You Customize Pokémon

You will join Team MZ, climb the ranks of Z-A Royale, and fight against the evil Rust Syndicate in Lumiose City!
The four-plus minute story trailer covers all of this in great detail and more. Team MZ protects the city, and you’re asked to help the group in its cause. The reason for this is the pesky Rust Syndicate—led by Leader Corbeau—who take great umbrage with Team MZ.
But you can’t focus all your attention there as Rogue Mega Evolution battles await. It’s not the first time we’ve experienced Mega Evolutions in Pokémon history. However, they don’t usually happen without a trainer’s involvement. That’s not the case in Z-A, and you’ll need to prepare accordingly.
Finally, if you want to kick back and chill, Lumiose City allows you to customize your character in a variety of ways. You can tweak the look of certain Pokémon, take photos, and much more.
