New Intel Arc Battlemage GPU Could Launch In The Near Future, Rumors Suggest

Intel doesn’t look like it’s leaving the discrete GPU marketplace anytime soon. According to known leakers and data miners, the company is set to announce and release its next Arc Battlemage graphics card this fall.

According to Haze, Intel is sending out the BMG-G31 between its various labs. Recently, it was found that the BMG-G31, which has been the codename for a new Intel Arc Battlemage B770, was sent to the company’s Intel Vietnam location. That location is known for producing the company’s Limited Edition cards for Battlemage.

In addition to the shipment discovery by Haze, another Intel leaker known as OneRaichu said that there will be more shown “in the future”.

Regarding specs or a release date, everything remains speculation. However, rumors have swirled that the Intel Arc Battlemage B770 will feature a 256-bit memory bus, 16GB of GDDR6 memory and anywhere between 24-42 Xe2 cores. As far as a release date, with Computex taking place later this month, it could be announced during the annual show with a release date coming shortly thereafter.

In addition to the rumored Arc Battlemage B770, Intel is still working on its next-gen Arc Celestial Xe3 GPU for release in the coming year or so. The company is also working on the Xe4 Druid cards. A timeline on the Xe4 cards is currently unknown.

Insider Gaming as reached out to Intel for comment on the claims. Should a response be received, this story will be updated accordingly. Until then, or until Intel makes an official announcement, take this news with a grain of salt.
