New findings suggest that the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons might share a feature similar to the PS5’s side panes.
Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons Detachable Side Panes Already Listed
As revealed by CentroLeaks, Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons have side panes that can be removed from the main body, just like the PS5. The only difference is that you can change the side panes of the PS5, but with the Switch 2, this functionality is limited to its controllers.
Some people have already started selling Nintendo Switch 2 “controller decorative strips,” which are basically replaceable panes for the Joy-Cons. As seen on Alibaba, the decorative strips are being sold for around $4, allowing you to add more colour to your console. However, it doesn’t seem like you can change the thumbsticks’ colour to match the side panes’ colour.
If the side panes are indeed replaceable, then it is just a matter of time before Nintendo starts selling its customisable decorative side-panes for the Switch 2 Joy-Cons. However, there isn’t any official confirmation about this feature. But if it is real, players may have found a cheaper alternative to making their controller feel fresh without spending enough money to buy a completely new set of Joy-Cons.
