In a new dev diary video, CD Project Red revealed some new features players can try out for Cyberpunk 2077 on the Nintendo Switch 2, including using your Joy-Cons to swing Katanas in the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 Confirms Switch 2 Joy-Con Motion Control Support
Spotted by The Gamer, CD Project Red recently spoke about Cyberpunk 2077’s additional features on the Switch 2 during the latest Creator’s Voice post on YouTube. The developers have stated that Cyberpunk 2077 on the Nintendo Switch is “the best way to experience the game on the go.” They also talk about a new feature for the platform, where players can use one of their Switch 2 Joy-Cons to control the Katana in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 Brings Additional Features for the Switch 2
In addition to Switch 2 Joy-Con motion support, CD Projekt Red has packed Cyberpunk 2077 with exclusive features on the platform. Take advantage of the touchscreen on Switch 2’s handheld mode; tap, swipe, or pinch through menus or inventories. Moreover, players can utilise the ‘Gyroscope mode’ for aiming, as well as the new mouse feature for even greater precision.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will be released on June 5, 2025, for the Switch 2. It can be purchased as a physical 64GB game card or downloaded through the Nintendo eShop for the Switch 2. The game runs at 40fps in performance mode and is priced at $70.
