New Gameplay Revealed of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

New gameplay footage has been shown from Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse.

During the Triple-i Initiative Showcase on April 9, new gameplay of the upcoming Castlevania game was shown. The gameplay showed more 2D action from the upcoming title. In this game, players follow Trevor Belmont, the last of the Belmont bloodline. The title was first revealed by Konami during the February Sony PlayStation State of Play presentation.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Setting Revealed

Alongside the new gameplay, the developer provided commentary that highlighted the game’s mix of action and exploration. Additionally, the game’s setting was revealed.

Belmont’s Curse will be taking place in Paris in 1499. The new game is also set 23 years after Castlevania: Dracula’s Curse. Dracula’s Curse was the third game in the franchise, released in 1989 for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

In February, the game was announced as the first release in the celebration of 40 years of Castlevania. The original Castlevania game debuted in 1986 for the Famicom Disk System and was released in America on the NES in 1987.

No release date has been announced for Belmont’s Curse, but it is expected to launch this year. Insider Gaming will provide updates on the latest announcements regarding this upcoming game in the legendary franchise.

  • Pass on this and it’s a female lead not sure how continuity wise this works. Konami taking L’s. If they do remake Lament Of Innocence hopefully it’s good no alterations like Silent Hill 2. Not sure why the push for wokeness when they abandoned games for so long
