A new free-to-play ‘Borderlands Mobile’ title has been discovered. It’s only for mobile devices, and even then, it’s quite restrictive, but the new entry in the franchise features the usual looting and shooting you’ve come to expect.
In one of the more bizarre discoveries, the existence of a new free-to-play Borderlands game, exclusive to mobile, has been found on the iOS store. The game page reveals the ‘price tag,’ some screenshots of the game, and its game file size.
Borderlands Mobile Is Exclusive To Apple Store

If you head to the App Store and search for it, you should find Borderlands Mobile.
The game is listed as free, and is only 2.9 GB to add to your phone—much more comforting than the 100+ GB that last year’s Borderlands 4 required on the various formats!
Unfortunately, Borderlands Mobile can ONLY be found on iOS, as Android users have to miss out, as do console owners, if it wasn’t already clear.
Zynga Inc. is the developer, and the store description promises the ability to ‘Loot wild weapons,’ ‘blast enemies,’ and ‘join other Vault Hunters in an ever-evolving universe to fight greedy corporations and open legendary Vaults.’
Borderlands Mobile’s screenshots show popular characters like Claptrap and Moxxi, but not too much else is revealed on the surface. Obviously, a free-to-play Borderlands Mobile title is likely to come with its fair share of microtransactions.
Be warned, Vault Hunter.
Is it weird that Take-Two hasn’t advertised or officially announced Borderlands Mobile? Will you be downloading it and giving it a go? Let us know via the free-to-join Insider Gaming Discord.
