It appears that a new game in the Crash Bandicoot franchise is currently in development, according to a recent claim.
Players have been waiting for quite a bit of time for a new installment to the franchise; the last mainline entry was back in 2020 with Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, and the latest entry was Crash Team Rumble, a multiplayer spinoff. It seems like another Crash Bandicoot is in the oven.
Spyro Leaker Reveals New Crash Bandicoot Game is in Development
The latest rumor about a new Crash Bandicoot game comes from a user on X (formerly Twitter) named noarmsandnolegs. This leaker has previously shared accurate details about the upcoming Spyro game before it was officially announced. In their latest post, they mentioned that “a new Crash Bandicoot game is scheduled too,” although it appears that the developers are not planning to make any announcements about it at this time. Readers should take this information with a grain of salt.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was a time-shattered adventure where players received new abilities, more playable characters, alternate dimensions, and a whole lot more as Crash and Coco work towards saving the multiverse. Crash Rumble is a 4v4 team-based competition where iconic heroes and villains from the Crash universe battle to capture more Wumpa fruit than their opponents to claim victory.
In other news, Activision has filed a new trademark for Crash Bandicoot, specifically revolving around motion pictures and television programs. Additionally, an animated Crash Bandicoot series by Netflix and WildBrain Studios is reportedly quietly in the works. What are your thoughts on a new Crash Bandicoot game being in development?
