The latest Call of Duty patches have announced changes to how ranked seasons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will end.
The latest patch notes were updated on March 20, 2026, and among changes to maps, zombies, and private matches, they announced updates to how Ranked Seasons conclude.
Changes to Call of Duty Ranked Play
In the official patch notes, the Call of Duty team confirmed that Ranked Play in Season 2 ends in 8 days. After March 25 at 9:00 p.m. PT, which is midnight on March 26 on the East Coast, players’ current Skill Ratings will be frozen. The next day, Top 250 rewards will be distributed, and a new Ranked Play experience will run for the final week of the season: the Season 2 Ranked Series.
In both Ranked Series, all competitors are enrolled in Competitive Ladders. Gold to Iridescent ladders each have 50 players. Only those from Season 2 Ranks are eligible. The Top 250 players will be on a single ladder competing for rewards like Emblems, Weapon Camos, and exclusive items.
Below are the most complete rewards for the Season 2 Ranked Series in Black Ops 7:
- Top: #1 (Per Rank)
1st Place Emblem - Top 5 (Per Rank)
Top 5 Emblem - Animated Weapon Camo
Top 10 (Per Rank)
Top 10 Emblem - Top 25 (Per Rank)

Ranked Series Emblem - Challenge Track (All Ranks)

Season 2 Ranked Series runs from March 26-31. Then, Ranked Play will be offline until Season 3 begins.
