A new announcement confirms that Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark and Derrick Rose will be the cover stars for NBA 2K27.
NBA 2K27 has finally made its first appearance, revealing the flag bearers of the upcoming installment. This is just the first announcement; the main details will arrive on July 28, when players will get to see the worldwide premiere of the title’s first gameplay trailer, featuring all the new additions to the game.
NBA 2K27 Cover Athletes Feature Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark and Derrick Rose
The NBA’s first-ever unanimous Defensive Player of the Year, Victor Wembanyama from the San Antonio Spurs, will be the cover star for the standard edition of NBA 2K27. The deluxe edition will feature Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever, who has been recognized as the 2024 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year and is a three-time WNBA All-Star starter, making her a significant figure in Women’s Basketball. Lastly, the limited-time Ultimate Edition will showcase Derrick Rose, a Chicago Bulls legend, who is a three-time NBA All-Star and the youngest MVP in NBA history.

NBA 2K27 is all set to release on September 4, 2026, for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X/S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. Early access for Deluxe and Ultimate edition players begins on August 28, and players can pre-order the game now. The game has been priced at $69.99 for the Standard Edition, $99.99 for the Deluxe Edition, and $149.99 for the Ultimate Edition, which has limited availability through September 6.
