2023 has been an incredible year for the PlayStation 5 (PS5). From games like Horizon Forbidden West to Final Fantasy XVI, there is no shortage of great titles no matter what you are looking for. But what about next year? There are plenty of excellent games on the horizon, but what are the most anticipated PS5 exclusive games for 2024?
Let’s take a look. Note that some of these games aren’t confirmed for 2024, but we’re hoping that to see them at some point during the year.

Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth
Launching February 29, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth is the 2nd part of a three-part remake of the 1997 classic. The first part of the remake was met with rave reviews, and, based on the trailers and looks we’ve gotten so far, Rebirth should be no different.

Rise of the Ronin
From the studio behind the Ninja Gaiden and Nioh franchises, Rise of the Ronin a new RPG set in the late 19th century.
“Rise of the Ronin is a combat-focused open-world action RPG that takes place in Japan at a time of great change,” Developer Team Ninja says. “It is the very end of a 300-year-long Edo Period, commonly known as “Bakumatsu.””
The game features the Boshin War between the Tokugawa Shogunate and numerous anti-shogunate factions. There’s no set release date at the moment, but it is expected to launch sometime in 2024.

Marvel’s Wolverine
First announced back in 2021, Marvel’s Wolverine is coming from the same studio that’s brought us Marvel’s Spider-Man, Miles Morales, and Spider-Man 2. There’s really nothing known about what the game will feature or be about, but that only builds the anticipation even more. Hopefully, 2024 is when we finally get it on the PS5.

Death Stranding 2
Another game without a confirmed release date, Death Stranding 2 is a game that many are anticipating after the, um, interesting first game from 2019. We know what Hideo Kojima is capable of with his games, so Death Stranding 2 should be one of the most talked about games of the year once we know more about it.

Silent Hill 2 Remake
One more game without a known release date, the Konami’s remake of Silent Hill 2 comes 23 years, at least, after the original’s release. The game is being developed by Polish studio Bloober Team. What makes the game so interesting, aside from it being Silent Hill, is the fact that Bloober Team has been a hit-or-miss studio when it comes to horror games. To see how they handle the Silent Hill franchise is something worth keeping an eye on.
