No, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Isn’t Coming To Xbox

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Xbox

On Father’s Day in the country, a post from the official Xbox Brazil account appeared to tease that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake was going to come to Xbox. While fans began to think it meant that the game was set to come to Xbox, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

In a response to Eurogamer, Microsoft says that the post in question wasn’t accurate, and it has since been removed.

“The image was posted in error and removed as it included a title not available on Xbox,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Eurogamer.

The social media post spotted by The Gamer.

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake was first released back in April 2020. The next part of the remake, known as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, is currently in development. It’s expected to launch sometime in early 2024.

For those who want a new Final Fantasy fix, players can pick up Final Fantasy 16 on PlayStation 5. The latest in the franchise, Final Fantasy 16, sold more than 3 million copies during its launch week in June.

  1. If this article is about how FF7R isn’t coming to Xbox then why recommend people to pick up FF16. Obviously, someone who primarily plays PlayStation wouldn’t care about 7 not coming to Xbox. So in an article about Xbox why recommend a PS exclusive.

  2. Yoshi announced that FFXIV is coming to Xbox with the next expansion, so it’s normal for people to get excited over other titles coming too. Failed to mention that part though, huh?

During the keynote speech at FanFest Las Vegas, the CEO of MS Gaming even said they and SE will be working closely together in future.

So yeah, I can see where the rumors are coming from. Surprised this wasn’t mentioned.
