On Twitter, the news is circulating regarding a potential rumour which is claiming that Season Two of Modern Warfare 2 (and Warzone 2.0) has been delayed by two weeks.
That’s a lot of ‘twos’.
As it stands, Season Two was due to drop on the 2nd of February, bringing with it a whole host of fresh content to the somewhat dwindling platform. Now, according to leaks, the update won’t drop until the 16th of February, with Activision or Infinity Ward yet to make an official statement against the claim.
What’s Happening to Call of Duty?
In a recent report, it was revealed that Warzone 2.0 is haemorrhaging players, losing far more than it was first anticipated in far shorter a time. Since Modern Warfare 2 dropped in October 2022, fans have been searching desperately for some way to genuinely enjoy the game.
With the most punishing SBMM mechanics we’ve ever seen in a Call of Duty game, it’s becoming increasingly harder for anybody to casually appreciate the multiplayer platform that’s on offer.
For almost three months, fans have been eagerly awaiting a ‘considerable’ content drop. While Season One was by no means a minuscule update, it felt as though it wasn’t executed effectively, and fans are still hungry for more. There were recent leaks that uncovered key art and content potentially coming in Season Two, but now, even that may have been delayed.
There were expectations that Season Two would be a boon for the platform, introducing a new Resurgence-style map in Warzone 2.0 and, as rumours suggest, bringing in two remastered maps from the history of the Modern Warfare franchise.
Now, it seems that players will have to wait even longer before they can take advantage of Season Two’s content in either game. On the one hand, if the leak is to be believed, it means that players have another two weeks to scrape their way to the end of the battle pass. On the other hand, it means that it’s another extension to a window that has already left players feeling exasperated with both of these games.

Get rid of Shipment, and Crossing, and you MP will be better. Those maps are only for hard-core players and tryhards.
Yeah, it’s true. And if the person reviewing this actually played COD, they would know that. I’m on the Battle Pass screen right now and the time we have to complete it definitely went up by 2 weeks.
