Minecraft is one of the world’s most popular games, with the original title spinning off into other forms of media, including a Hollywood film, and Mojang has more up its sleeve, with a slew of teases and reveals set for the next major event.

When is Minecraft LIVE?

The next Minecraft LIVE event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 30th, as revealed by Mojang itself, during Twitchcon.

Minecraft’s regular updates always provide new experiences for players, and the next LIVE event will offer an indication of what fans can expect in the future.

The May 30th Minecraft LIVE is the second event of 2026, with the Spring 2026 event only happening two months ago in March, so it’s set to be a huge year for Minecraft. The event will be available to watch across Twitch and YouTube.

As well as the base game, Minecraft LIVE will also bring further news on Minecraft Dungeons 2 and the next Minecraft Movie.

Minecraft LIVE will take place at 9:30 AM PT/11:30 AM ET/4:30 PM BST on May 30, airing worldwide.

What to Expect in Minecraft LIVE

Full details of everything being showcased during Minecraft LIVE is being kept under wraps, but there have been some previous indications of what you can expect to see.

The Chaos Cubed update, revealed during the Spring LIVE event, could get a full release date, likely initially in Snapshot, introducing brand-new sulfur caves, cinnabar and sulfur block sets, and a new mob, the Sulfur Cube.

More details on Minecraft Dungeons 2, confirmed to release later this year, is also expected, with the potential of a full release date being shared for the game.

Finally, we could see more about the sequel to the Minecraft Movie, and there’s an expectation that plenty more surprises are on the way.
