Nightmare Forge has announced a new Mickey Mouse horror game titled ‘Infestation 88’, which will be coming sometime in 2024.
The new game is dubbed a 1-4 player co-op survival horror game “in which you and your friends are exterminators called in to treat these mysterious infestations.”
Infestation 88 will have private and public lobbies and proximity and global voice chat as you and others find the source of the infestation.

According to the Steam page, “This game is inspired by works that are now in the public domain.”
“This independent creation has not been authorized, sponsored, or otherwise endorsed by any original authors of said works. All content in this game is used under appropriate public domain guidelines, and is not affiliated with, related to, or endorsed by any existing intellectual property or trademark holders”, it continues.

Mickey has an “E” in it.
Oswald the lucky rabbit and felix the cat are public domain too so something with those. Solomon kane also now public domain that would be a great dark fantasy open world Victorian gothic game.
Mickey and Oswald are now public domain someone should make a spiritual successor to Epic Mickey now or give Warren Spector the budget to do something with it. A Cuphead like with them would also be cool.
This is the perfect time to make more games like Cuphead with these characters or a Epic Mickey successor. Cthulhu is now public domain they should turn that into a horror game.
