Marvel’s Wolverine Has Gone Gold Over 3 Weeks Ahead of Release

Insomniac has announced that Marvel’s Wolverine has gone gold, leaving enough time for the game’s release.

The next installment in Insomniac’s Marvel superhero games is all set to arrive on September 15, 2026. Wolverine is a departure from the Spider-Man games, bringing a more linear focus, a darker tone, and much more brutal combat. It seems the title’s final work has been completed, with it going gold three weeks ahead of release.

Insomniac Teases Gold Claws with Marvel’s Wolverine Going Gold Announcement

Insomniac Games announced through a new post on X (formerly Twitter) that Marvel’s Wolverine has gone gold today. The announcement post contains a short video of Logan popping golden claws. The developers have also confirmed that players will be able to unlock and equip the Gold Claws in the game. For those unaware, when a game goes gold, it means the developers have reached a build ready for release.

The latest installment will follow Wolverine as he rejoins the mutant task force, Team X. Bolivar Trask has begun kidnapping mutants, and it appears that only Wolverine has the skills needed to save them. The game will take players on Wolverine’s journey across the globe, including locations such as Canada, Japan, and the Marvel island nation of Madripoor. He will also team up with fellow mutants like Jean Grey and Sabretooth, among others.
