In a new blog post, PlayStation revealed new suits and features coming to the next Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update, which releases on March 7th.
PlayStation first announced the March update earlier this month. However, PlayStation only confirmed this would add “New Game+, new suits, and more”.
The update will officially include “suit styles for several of Peter’s symbiote story suits”. Both Peter and Miles are also getting fresh Hellfire Gala suits.
PlayStation further announced two new suits made in collaboration with Gameheads, Insomniac Games, and Marvel Games.
Gameheads is an education program for low-income and underrepresented students.
So, between March 7th and April 5th, PlayStation plans to donate up to $1 million in Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack purchases to Gameheads.
In addition to the new Gameheads outfits, the Suit Pack will also include 10 photo mode stickers and 2 photo mode frames.
The March update will introduce “action figure mode and stickers” to the existing Photo Mode. Collectible action figures often play a large role in comic fandom, so longtime fans should appreciate the gesture.
PlayStation also confirmed that the next update will add Audio Descriptions and a Screen Reader feature to improve accessibility.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 continues to be a massive success. Last week, Insomniac Games officially announced that the game reached 10 million copies sold.
The addition of New Game Plus will definitely convince fans to revisit the game. It first released in October 2023, so plenty of time has passed to complete the main campaign.
Last month, rumors also surfaced about potential Beetle-themed DLC, following the massive Insomniac leak.
For now, players finally have their first look at Spider-Man 2’s outfits from the March update. They look stylish and inspired, fitting the spirit of the heroes.
