The final open beta for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls took place over the weekend, with stats showing that Magik and Blade were the two most popular characters.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is set to release on PC and PlayStation 5 on August 6, bringing a stacked roster of characters to go head-to-head with in the title from Arc System Works.
While that roster is full of recognisable characters, including the likes of Spider-Man, Captain America, and Iron Man, two other names dominated as the most popular.
Magik & Blade Most Popular Characters in Fighting Souls Open Beta
Data compiled by AlietteFaye on X, via IGN, shows Blade and Magik topped the list as the most popular characters in the Open Beta, with the top five completed by Magneto, Spider-Man, and Black Panther.
The stats come from the Vibranium+ tier, one of the highest ranks in the game, showing the meta that is already beginning to be established ahead of the full release.
Magik was also top of the pile in character distribution for the leader in the 4-vs-4 title, ahead of Spider-Man and Black Panther, while Blade topped the Assist charts, ahead of Magik and Magneto.
Data was taken on July 27, just before the servers went down, and provides those yet to play the game with a list of characters they should perhaps prioritize heading into the full release.
The full roster at launch consists of 20 characters, though at least four will be added with post-launch DLC.
