Madden NFL 27 introduces new graphics settings on the Sony PlayStation 5 Pro and Nintendo Switch 2, offering visual and performance-focused modes. Specifically, there are two new modes: Visual Pro and Performance Pro.
According to the official Madden NFL 27 blog from EA, PS5 Pro players will be able to get 100 FPS while playing the game. Additionally, these modes are available on the Nintendo Switch 2. While not as powerful as the PS5 Pro, Switch 2 players will be able to reach up to 60 frames per second in Performance Pro mode. Players can adjust their graphics settings in the options menu.
More On Madden NFL 27’s Visual Changes
This year’s game is all about increasing the authenticity on the Gridiron. Not only does the development team accomplish this with the enhanced graphic choices, but also with new features such as the dynamic weather elements. Like in real life, weather is unpredictable, and in this year’s game, no two games play the same, and no quarters play the same. Weather can evolve between quarters, and that will change the look and challenge in any given game. Snow and rain are dynamic. Specifically, the rain conditions can shift from heavy to light or vice versa. These effects don’t just change the game; they change the look of the players in the uniforms.
“For the first time, snow can appear on uniforms. Sweat areas now get darker with saturation, and you will see more dirt, more grime, and more wear show up across the player. The game should tell the story of what has happened on the field. If you have been battling through a wet, muddy, snowy, physical game, your players should look like it,” the blog notes.
This year’s Madden will release on August 13 and features Caleb Williams on the cover. This is the first time a Chicago Bears player is on the cover of a Madden game.
