Lords of the Fallen 2 Release Window Accidentally Revealed

The Lords of the Fallen franchise is set to continue in 2026, and we’ve not had official word on when to expect the newest sequel from Hexworks and CI Games. Due to an unfortunate slip, Lords of the Fallen 2’s release period has been unveiled.

Several games have now been released under the Lords of the Fallen name. It’s yet to hit the heights of other Soulslikes, but it’s still one of the biggest games on the Souls radar this year. There’s every chance that Lords of the Fallen 2 could be the one to tick all the boxes, and if you’re waiting on its release window, it’s coming, and it’s happening this year (barring any delays!).

Lords of the Fallen 2 has unofficially been given an August 2026 release window.

The news comes from professional game designer Dan Regan. Their portfolio boasts a wealth of experience across numerous games, including Gears Tactics and The Lords of the Fallen.

He’s currently a lead systems designer at CI Games, and a March 31 Lords of the Fallen subreddit post discovered that Regan had updated his page, highlighting his work on Lords of the Fallen 2.

The original text said this:

“I look forward to discussing it [LOTF2] more here once the game has released; Lords of the Fallen 2 is expected to release in August 2026.”

If you check Regan’s LOTF2 bio now, it now reads slightly differently:

“I look forward to discussing it more here once the game has released!”

The abrupt change in the message suggests this information wasn’t supposed to be known yet. On the plus side for Soulslike fans and Lords of the Fallen faithful, you now have your answer as to when the newest sequel is expected.

Obviously, this could be subject to change between now and then, but fingers the August 20-26 window remains. We expect exact release information in the Summer, if not before then.

Will you have time to pencil in Lords of the Fallen 2 before a hectic end of the year? Share your thoughts through the Insider Gaming Discord on what you’re looking forward to about it and why you think the series might be underrated.
